A labial reduction (or labiaplasty) is a surgical procedure to reduce the size or reshape the labia.
Labial reduction is done under general anaesthetic.
It involves trimming any area that protrudes or is uneven and closing any open areas with very fine, dissolvable stitches so as to avoid unsightly scarring.
Most women go home the day of their procedure.
You may experience slight pain or discomfort and swelling.
Most women make a good recovery from labial reduction but as with any procedure, there may be complications.
